Mohn Family

Daniel Lester Mohn

At 04:30 A.M., on 21 July 1905, in Ashland, Ohio, Pauline Virginia Marble was born to Duane Pierce Marble and Magdalene Knapp with the aid of Family Physician, Dr. D. L. Mohn. A portrait of Doctor D. L. Mohn has been pasted down through the Marble Family for four generations.

In 1911, Doctor Daniel Lester Mohn’s Office was located at Semple-Grabill block, 34 West Main Street, (source: Ashland City Directory, 1911). Daniel Lester Mohn resided with his wife Ella E. Clegg on 303 Sandusky Street, (source: Ashland City Directory, 1911).

Doctor Daniel Lester Mohn, was the son of John and Elizabeth Mohn of Olivesburgh, Richland County, Ohio (source: 1880 U.S. Census).

Doctor Daniel Lester Mohn was born on 2 December 1867 in Ohio and died on 6 June 1931, in Ashland, Ohio. (source: Ohio Deaths, 1908-1932, 1938-1944, and 1958-2002, Volume 6629, Certificate 34821).

During WWI, Captain Daniel Lester Mohn served with the Officers’ Reserve Corps, Marine Corps from 7 June 1918 to his honorable discharge date of 7 December 1918, in Georgia.
